On the way home from our delectable okonomiyaki excursion, Hisachan and I took a stroll through the Red Light District—you know, the kind of place you go to for a “One Night Carnival.”
Another fine breakfast in Japan: yogurt, hot miso, and gigantic toast. They even gave me cereal to make me feel like I was back in Portland.
We arose to the frigid dawn, breakfasted, and dragged our corpses to the car. Destination: Ground Zero.
Day two in Kyoto, and another full plate. One shrine, one temple, lunch with Miako-San, and then a trip to Osaka Castle for a 3D Projection light show in the evening.
Behold my first breakfast in Japan!, a humble repast consisting of a cheese laiden pastry, a blueberry bagel, packets of jam and peanut butter, fresh fruit, and, somewhat alarmingly, butter in a tube.
